Kerem Çalışkan BIO:
Started programming at age 11. Earned first money from programming two years later. Worked in different positions in family owned tourism agency between the ages of 13 and 19. Learned a lot about dealing with people, hard conditions and carrying out a qualified service to customers during this experience.
Got national level medals in chess and spent lots of time in reading and understanding the nature of everything.
Got a brilliant degree in university entrance exams and selected METU Computer Engineering Department. During college worked hard to improve himself and became a member of the rowing team and swam regularly. Spent lots of time on the grasses dreaming about how to live a better, cooler and easier life.
After graduation looked for a job in medical imaging fields and rejected other offers. Finally found a company working in his field of interest and worked there for three years between 2000 and 2003.
Started working freelance afterwards and worked as a part time consultant for several defense companies in real time image processing projects including the first UAV Image Exploitation Station of Turkey. Meanwhile finished his MS in computer science and started PhD on medical imaging studies.
Founded InfoDif in 2007 and involved in any project which is related to images or cameras since then. Gained a huge experience on all cameras, related devices and components, image processing algorithms related to different domains and real time video analytics. Special interests are medical image processing, face recognition, plate recognition, video analytics, streaming and storage. InfoDif’s product range is also within these fields. Although his main focus is business development and management for the last couple of years, still likes coding and ditching the other parts of computer science as this field is where he feels home and better than anyone in the world.
